Many types of appointments are now available via telehealth. This means you can meet with a provider via secure phone or video chat, without leaving home. Remote telehealth appointments are a great alternative to in-clinic visits for patients with limited mobility, barriers to transportation, or even just a busy schedule that makes it hard to find time to come in for an appointment.
Telehealth services
Telehealth visits are available for many types of appointments, including:
- Chronic disease management
- Medication management
- Birth control consultations
- Urinary tract infections
- Upset stomach
- Rashes & skin conditions
- Cold/flu symptoms
- Sore throat/cough
- Mental health & substance abuse concerns
- and more!
Although telehealth is a great option for many types of visits, certain types of appointments, such as physical/wellness exams and well-child exams, are in-clinic only. Please inquire about telehealth options while scheduling your appointment.
What to expect
A telehealth visit will be similar to a regular in-clinic appointment, but you will be in your home. When you connect to your appointment, you will first meet with a medical assistant who will check in with you and ask you some questions to prepare your provider to meet with you. After you are “roomed” by the medical assistant, you will meet with your provider to address your concerns. After you meet with your provider, a member of our staff may help you make any follow-up appointments, such as lab visits, if necessary.
