NHS hosted its annual breakfast ‘Care Starts with You 2025′ at Jax Cafe in the morning of Thursday October 16th, 2025. The event brought together community members who gathered to support NHS’ mission of providing affordable, accessible healthcare for all and working to eliminate health disparities in our communities. At the breakfast, two community members were recognized for their contributions to the NHS mission.
The NHS 2025 Pillar Award was presented to NHS’ Laboratory Lead, Tamou Miller, who now joins a distinguished group of previous recipients: Bridgette Shepherd, Dr. Mark Vint, and Sandra Levine.
The NHS 2025 Builder Individual Award was presented to Pediatric Registered Nurse, Kelly Maynard. She now joins our respected list of previous awardees: Ethel Livingstone, Kim Perry, Jeanne Terhar, Thelma Dukly, Dr. Donald Masler, Dana Jensen, and Dr. Bruce Adams.
